Principal's Message

Hello Yokomi Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! As we start the new school year together on Monday, August 17, 2026. The Yokomi Elementary School staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school with parent involvement being crucial to the success of our students. Therefore, please mark your calendars for our Back to School Night and get the information needed to be involved!

Back to School Night– Tuesday, August 18, 2026: TK -6th Grades

5:00-5:35PM – Classroom Presentation #1

5:40-6:15PM – Classroom Presentation #2

6:20- 26/27 School Year Kick-off in the Cafeteria

The Yokomi office will be open till 7:00 PM on August 11th for late registration.

Class lists will be posted, at the main gate, Thursday, August 13^th. These lists will indicate your student’s teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Tuesday, September 8, 2026.  Please note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to create or collapse classrooms.  There is a possibility that your child may be moved to a different class. We will contact you if this occurs.

Yokomi Daily Schedule:

Cafeteria is open for Breakfast from 8:30 to 8:50

Pre-Kindergarten:      Session 1 - 8:30AM-11:30AM   Session 2 – 12:00PM- 3:00 PM

Regular School Day Daily Schedule:

TK & Kindergarten                             9:00-2:05

Grades 1^st – 6^th                                    9:00-3:05

Early Release School Day Daily Schedule:

TK & Kindergarten                             9:00-1:00

Grades 1^st – 6^th                                     9:00-2:00

 

Parent conferences will be held during the week of October 26-30, 2026, and dismissal will be 65 minutes prior to our regular dismissal. We will follow our early release schedules.

 

Open House will be on April 22, 2027

 

After School Program . It is available daily until 6:00 p.m. for those who have registered. Please contact our coordinator, CJ.Bohanon@fresnounified.org if you are interested in enrolling your student and did not do so by the end of last year

Communication: Make sure your information is up to date in the ATLAS parent portal. The phone numbers and email addresses will be used to access ParentSquare. Visit parentsquare.com and use your phone number in ATLAS to sign up and download the app. All schoolwide communication will come to you via ParentSquare. The school year calendar of events is already available there.
