Volunteer

We encourage parents to volunteer at Yokomi​ and we appreciate their help!

Below are some of the ways you can volunteer:

• Ask your child’s teacher if you can help in some way in their classroom. There may be ways you can assist inside or outside of the classroom.
• Join the PTA and help with the many fundraising events at the school. Maybe you would even consider becoming a PTA officer.
• Chaperone on fieldtrips with your child.
• Train to be a crossing guard.
• Serve on the School Site Council (SSC) or simply attend the School Site Council meetings.
• Serve on the English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC) or simply attend their meetings.
• Attend the Parent University training that is offered at Yokomi to help you help your child succeed.
• Offer to help in the office.
